In my mother’s later days, she began to write terrible letters to people she had known for years. She was in her mid 80’s and probably was victim of a kind of senility that manifests in the form of vindictive attack.
We didn’t know she was writing so many long abusive letters until my sister’s friend revealed the terrible attack on mother’s denist. We tnen learned of all sorts of similar letters.
I have a friend in her 80’s that is similar but much worse. She turns in verbal attack mode and destroys someone coming into her presence.
I suspect Maxine is literally off her rocker.

I am in my 80s,many of my friends are in their 80s-——we do NOT verbally attack people or write nasty letters.
I yelled more when I had 5 teenagers living with me.:-)
Maxine has been nasty for years—it has nothing to do with age.
