There’s still a lot of potential in the Star Wars universe, but only for a talented story teller. Trying to turn it into a Disney Princess franchise is guaranteed to fail.

To me, the problem in the Star Wars universe is that, with the meaningless death of Solo in the canon, there is no point in getting emotionally vested in the young Solo movies when we know it's ultimately all for naught.

Who cares what his young aspirations are, now that we know how it turns out?
