I believe I read a while back that if one removes black gun crime from US stats, we drop down do somewhere around 50th from the top in percentage of gun crimes. I’m sure my numbers or off, but I’m thinking not by much.

I think your numbers are bang on. America doesn’t have a gun problem, it has a gang problem. Blacks and increasingly Latinos, with a few Asian and Eastern European gangs just to give it some diversity. The poor old Italian mobs can’t compete with the newbies.

California separates out Hispanic homicide stats. I once did the math, and if you eliminate black and brown killers, white Americans homicide rate is about the same as Europe’s.
