TENANTLA, Mexico – Whoever wins Sunday's presidential election will have to face not only Mexico's drug cartels, but a new kind of crime involving whole neighborhoods defying police and military personnel.
It was on display in the Jalisco state town of Ciudad Guzman — a stronghold of the Jalisco New Generation cartel — in early June, when a crowd of men and women gathered around two pickups carrying armed Mexican marines.
They taunted the troops, throwing rocks and water bottles at them and kicking one repeatedly as he was helped away by two comrades.
Purportedly protesting a young man's disappearance, the crowd later spray-painted the cartel's initials on a bashed-up marine vehicle.
Such "socialized" or "mass" crimes are spreading in Mexico as entire communities empty freight trains of merchandise or steal hundreds of thousands of gallons of fuel from pipelines.

It is hard to comprehend how Mexico could get any worse than it already is. But, maybe so. I would guess the communists of Venezuela and Cuba are cheering as Mexico sinks further toward total crime world control.

A new president of Mexico.
He is making a lot of threats against the United States. I don’t think he has been paying attention. The current President of the US is not the same as they are used to dealing with.
President Trump is a risk taker, I would not be surprised if Regular Army troops are not protecting our border within a year.
Think about. The left keeps going to court blocking all attempts to handle the chaos on our borders. The recent court ruling gave the power back to the President to control our borders, especially if it is a national security threat.
The new President of Mexico starts aiding mass migration across our borders... what is President Trump to do?

We sure do. Now I hate to be a downer, but American politics runs in cycles. So what happens when the Democrats take the White House again? Will the wall be torn down? I would guess so.
I really don’t see a good long-term solution here, except breaking up the country into two separate nations.
The Open Borders crowd story is that these people will magically transform themselves into hard working, law abiding citizens when they illegally cross the border (yes, tongue-in-cheek). Of course, they really know that they will bring all these problems with them into the US. They just don’t care because they think they will vote Democratic.
Power is all that matters to them. As long as their community is gated (protected) and gentrified, the rest of the country can turn into a total crap-hole.
So what happens when the Democrats take the White House again? Will the wall be torn down?
Of course it will. Plus, any laws limiting immigration (legal or not) in any way will be ignored, rather than enforced. And, of course, the Media will have their back.
It is depressing.

Mexican politics runs in cycles too, only of much longer duration. The truth is that the revolution of 1911 was never completed; both sides simply ran out of bullets. The same fault lines which tore the country apart then exist now, and the wind that swept Mexico one hundred years ago is coming back. Only, in place of the army “del Norte” is a much more cynical pack of cartels.

That’s a pretty good conclusion and comparison.
I lived in Chihuahua for 10 years, the caste system that exists in that country is simply bearing it’s violent fruit finally.
Give the army ammo and let them defend themselves.
AMLO is promising more free stuff than anyone else. If he does not win there will be riots in the streets. The army and police are as corrupt as anyone else. Law enforcement in Mexico is a wholly criminal enterprise - there are NO honest cops. None.
The bloodbath that is coming in Mexico is going to make the wall a necessity. I see a power keg getting packed even more full
The long and short of it is Mexico is a failed state and now is set of cartels masquerading as a nation.
