It’s beginning to appear that male employees in the field of advocacy of abused children or themselves abusers.

I sincerely doubt that that's always the case.But it would be wise for males who sign up with such campaigns to be checked very carefully...and regularly.

I’m sure you are correct & I should have put ‘some’ males. I agree on employees being vetted very carefully/throughly in that type of field.
