My wife had a lumpectomy five years ago, now we find she has stage 4 cancer with a hundred (too many to count) lesions eating into her bones.
Does CAR-T work for this? Where do we sign up? :)
prayers for you both
Prayers to you and your wife.
This story hits pretty close to home. My son has brain cancer. He spends every other week in the hospital getting chemo. This is the off week so he goes to the clinic for another kind of chemo drug as well as a 4 day stretch of an oral chemo drug.
My wife has kidney cancer and I stick with the advice her doctor gave me. Only think about a positive outcome. The more research you do the more bad stories you will find so stay off the internet.
Put your faith in God and the doctors and just be there to support the patient. My son has been in the hospital over 130 days since last fall. Not once have we talked about a bad outcome.
CAR-T for solid tumors is still in very early/pre clinical stages. Your best bet would be to find a clinical trial involving Tumor Infiltrating Lymphocytes on clinicaltrials.gov
