Yup. It’s falling for Alinsky’s rules—force them to live by their own rules and morals. Except it doesn’t work when dealing with Alinskyites. It’s like Adams said, our Republic was made for a Christian and moral nation. If the other side is neither, civility won’t work.

My point being, someone on the left menaces, threatens or does horrible violence; then someone on the right makes a mildly sarcastic dig about it, and the left makes moral equivalence between those two completely unequal things.
