I can still remember the sinking feeling I had 8 years ago, that a conservative Justice was going to step down or worse when Obama had 60 in the Senate, plus various RINOs. What a difference!

I’d like to see Alito replaced as he is 68 years old. If I were Trump, I’d replace everyone of them but Gorsuch. I think he really needs to bring in Thomas, Alito, and the other dude and tell them it is time to go for the good of the country. Then replace with under 45 year old judges. We have got to play long term. It was STUPID to put Alito on the court at such an old age. We need judges on the court for 50 years to stop liberals from getting a chance to replace. We will NOT always have a Republican President or Senate. Let’s be smart for a change.

I disagree. A 5-4 or 6-3 win is as good as 9-0. Obviously packing the court would be found abhorrent to the majority of the electorate. It is good enough to let Trump keep his promises as the occasion arises. He has his list and he can keep going back to it.
Why not seek to replace liberal justices who never ever waiver from their liberal dogma rather than guaranteed conservative votes?

My mom is 83, the youngest of 10.
Of her 5 sisters all were married by the time they were 17.
Their husbands were usually 10 years older.
Back then girls were looking for men who were of good character, honest, hardworking and thrifty.
They found them in older, settled men.
Boys were expected to sow their wild oats for a few years then find a nice girl to settle down with.
Her 4 brothers all married girls 8-10 years younger than them.
Any girl worth having their own age was already married.
The only nice girls were younger.
Of those 9 couples there was not 1 divorce.
All the family worked hard and maintained a good middle class income.
Through my own eyes. When I was 18 I dated girls 17-22 years old. The older girls were far more interesting to me. I could actually hold an intelligent conversation with them.
Please, Lord, let that be true.
Trump was not my first, second or third choice for President (though it never would have been Clinton).
Securing that Supreme Court, and equally important, filling the lower courts with sane judges makes all the hyperbole and dumb drama worth it.
I always dated older girls as well.
My first wife was 4 years older than me.
My 2nd, and last, was 6 years older.
Because I was out of school and working the farm at a young age I had much more in common with the older girls.
The ones my own age seemed silly and immature, which they were.
Come to think about it, all my friends were from 4-7 years older than me.
We need to show her how generous conservatives can be and send her lots of sweets - high end chocolates, cakes, pies, all kinds of delicious goodies to show her how much we appreciate her.

Sotomayor is already beyond the average life expectancy for a female Type I Diabetic, Ginsburg is 84 and Breyer is 80.
