So does Trump know that he’s a back stabber? Or does Trump knows something we don’t by including him in his list?

When you look at McMuffin (Former Republican Congressman), Gary Johnson (former Republican turned Libertarian) and the Constitutional part guy (also former GOP), I counted some 5.3 million votes. Lets be honest, those votes are exclusively traditionally GOP. Johnson is from New Mexico and while I am from Southern US, I am old enough to know that Western Libertarian-GOP types don’t like collectivist social policies (obama care, etc) and are strong 2nd amendment types and are entrepreneur-small business types

Even if you add the Green party Stein voters to Hillary, Conservative/Right of Center Candidates got almost 1 million more votes than the Liberal-Left of center candidates

So Lee and his McMuffn buddy can get lost, no Supreme Court nomination for him. Select a strong originalist pro-life Catholic type like Scalia or Evangelical/Protestant like Gorsuch.

Don’t know who “McMuffin” is but it doesn’t matter. Trump will pick whoever he wants based on his instincts. Whoever it is will certainly be better than someone Hillary would pick ... so it will turn out to be a win.

I do NOT lament all the millions of knockout games and police shootings and ruined neighborhoods that *could have been, but never were* because of abortion, quite frankly.

Did you read Freakanomics?

On one hand, I found their data on the linkage to the nosedive in crime and when most of these children would have come of age both sobering and convincing.

On the other hand, the same result might be achieved by rounding up and liquidating people of a carefully targeted demographic and I could not morally support that either.

Why are you surprised?

I'm usually correct about everything I post!

Lee is not a viable candidate for this vacancy precisely because his views on abortion are well known (and FTR I fully agree with them). Thanks to what has been fittingly described as our “own goal” in Alabama we have a Senate majority of exactly 1. That means we can afford to lose only one vote. But there are two GOP Senators (both women) who are at least moderately pro-abortion. I doubt either would vote for a candidate who was openly declared to support overturning Roe. Whoever is nominated to fill this particular seat must be someone who, whatever they may have said privately, is not on record on this subject. Political pragmatism sometimes is uncomfortable but we need to give them both some plausible deniability in exchange for what will likely be difficult votes.

Trump had that list made, from other people's suggestions, when he was still in the Primaries/just won the nomination. That was prior to Lee's unacceptable, STUPID rantings later on.

Lee will NEVER be nominated, by Trump, for a seat on SCOTUS!

Won’t be better than a Hillary pick; he voted against getting rid of Obamacare.

No. No, no, no. Just no. Lee is the ultimate Never Trumper, but in some ways worse since he claims the mantle of a conservative. No president since Reagan has ushered more conservative policy into Law than DJT, and Lee went on Facebook a month before the election and pleaded with Trump to step aside as the nominee.

I appreciate his pro-life stance, but Lee is not to be trusted on the bench, plain and simple.

Single issue decision on a potentially 20+ year appointment. Bad, BAD way to go about this. Just wow.

More than protecting the First and Second Amendments?

More than protecting America and Americans from the invading horde of damned ILLEGALS?

More than disallowing visas for people who are coming to this nation from completely failed and terrorist nations?

And I can think of many other things that the SCOTUS has to deal with, which actually ARE far more immediate and important things that the SCOTUS has been and shall soon be taken up at SCOTUS; not to mention the fact that there are NO trials, NONE, BUPKISS, NADA, ZERO cases about abortion on the docket now or coming up at all.

Either get up to speed, n00b, or go find a site which ONLY discusses abortion.
