Just stepped outside to see if we can even see the moon tonight and we can ..... barely. Pretty cloudy still. :-(

Howdy, radu!

It was a good day! Got some cleaning done and it was still under 100, though barely at 98. No rain in sight here and I’m glad you had some.

I went out to look at the moon right before posting and it hadn’t risen above the houses across the street. I might take another peek now to see it it has peeked its head out. Saturn is supposed to be close to it. Wonder if I can see that, too.

Whew, just too hot. A good day to stay inside and occupy your time cleaning. LOL!

I waited out storms so I could run to Comcast to swap out our modem and cable boxes and was worried they wouldn’t stop before closing time. But they did and I was able to get it all done.

It drove me crazy not being able to go outside with the camera to get lightning shots. LOL! It was all over the place.

I hope you’ve stepped out to see the moon by now. It’s well above rooftops. I could see it but it’s very hazy due to the clouds. Not a star or planet visible though.

Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...and thank you. Ice packs on both knees, and 4 ibuprofen are starting to dull the pain. Thanks for the prayers.

Walking back and forth at the park, and then standing for an hour did me in. And I think my arthritis is stirred up pretty badly because of a weather change.

Did you have a triple this week? Blue? Penny? Pub night?

I did go out to check it and it was just above the housetops. Very golden and huge. I didn’t see any planets, either because of its aura. Maybe when it’s higher in the sky.

I hate having to occupy time cleaning, but it was time for it. And no one else is gonna do it. LOL! I paced myself so I didn’t get overworked. As if. ;)

Good evening, radu...any break in the weather? Some nice sun, not too hot?

Been clouding up all day and the arthritis in my knees is REALLY stirred up.

The doorbell just rang and it was the kid from next door bringing me fresh caught yesterday salmon. All I did was bring in their trash barrel and make sure no moving vans showed up in their driveway. I love salmon minus the bones, but I will have to internet how to cook it.

I went back out a little while ago and there are a few small breaks in the clouds. The moon was pretty clear for a couple of seconds, then clouds moved back over it. Also saw one star.

At least we aren’t getting the storms that are rolling over west TN tonight. We had enough of that this afternoon.

Cleaning’s no fun, for sure but it’s one of those things we’re stuck with. It’s a constant here. Too bad the kittehs won’t help out. LOL

Glad you got your modem issues fixed. GCI, my carrier, is coming Saturday between 1p and 3p to swap out my old box for a newer high speed one. I was going to go get the box and do it myself, but it would require some knee function. Thank goodness I made the appointment already.

Ibuprofen is working, I think. Ice packs are in the freezer getting cold again. I finally dragged me, my blankie, and my laptop to the living room and the lounge chair.

Watching NCIS, FReeping, and working on the music thread. And trying to stay awake. Oh, and eating cookie dough...LOL!!

Complete overcast and possible sprinkles...so no moon for me.

This next week is bringing mid 70s, so I will have to bring a couple fans upstairs again.

Hey there, Kathy.

Sorry to hear your knees are so cranked up. I understand well how the weather cranks up arthritis. Being on your feet so much this afternoon didn’t help matters. :-(

No break from the storms today. We were hammered. But it kept the temps down.

Going to be a miserably hot weekend with little rain chances to cool things off. The heat index will be 100 or a little above through Sunday. UGH! I need to buy some Gatorade tomorrow for Hubby to take with him Saturday. He’s going to Tupelo with some of the museum guys to bring back more crates and it will be hotter down there.

Nice of the neighbors to give you some fresh fish! Salmon’s a little strong for my taste but it’s absolutely delicious cooked on a charcoal grill.

I just learned about Johnny Cash

Cash enlisted in the United States Air Force on July 7, 1950.[29] After basic training at Lackland Air Force Base and technical training at Brooks Air Force Base, both in San Antonio, Texas, Cash was assigned to the 12th Radio Squadron Mobile of the U.S. Air Force Security Service at Landsberg, Germany, as a Morse Code operator intercepting Soviet Army transmissions.[30] It was there he created his first band, named “The Landsberg Barbarians”.[31] He was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant on July 3, 1954, and returned to Texas.[32] During his military service, he acquired a distinctive scar on the right side of his jaw as a result of surgery to remove a cyst.

On July 18, 1951, while in Air Force training, Cash met 17-year-old Vivian Liberto at a roller skating rink in her native San Antonio, Texas. They dated for three weeks until Cash was deployed to Germany for a three-year tour. During that time, the couple exchanged hundreds of pages of love letters.[35] On August 7, 1954, one month after his discharge, they were married at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church in San Antonio.

I kept thinking Hubby would take care of it but ..... well, that’s what I get for thinking. LOL

The gal had said they’re shutting off the modems and boxes like we had on the 1st and time was running out. The cable box for the TV in this room conked out last year and they gave me two defective boxes before finally giving me one that worked. If that happened this time, I needed an extra day to deal with it all.
But everything works like a charm on the first try. WHEW!!

Sounds like more companies besides Comcast are upgrading at the same time since yours is too. Good thing you’d made the appointment so you don’t have to do it yourself!

Glad the Ibuprofen is starting to do something. Kicking back and relaxing should help a lot too.

Cookie dough? I’ve heard people eat it but I haven’t tried it. I prefer the cookies baked. :-)

I’m watching Outer Limits and debating going out to burn trash. There’s quite a bit to burn and there’s no rain or wind tonight for a change.

I had to upgrade boxes and modems last year. I had the option of keeping the older ones, but the price going up, or upgrade to Tivo boxes. I checked into them and DUH! Faster, more recording channels at one time, cheaper. Now they have new modems, and the installations are free, so....

Glad you had better luck this time getting yours up and running, and you were able to dodge the storms.
