The threat of ISPs slowing throttling bandwidth was a total red herring. Bandwidth is a commodity for ISPs. They’re all too busy chasing differentiated content to sell as a value-add service.
This was always a Trojan Horse to slap more government regulations of the Internet.
Exactly so. Just what we need, more govt regulation in an area, telecommunications, that suffered for decades under excessive government regulation (Bell System, anyone?) and then exploded with new products, services, all while reducing costs, when deregulated.
