Any SCOTUS sppointment is a roll of the dice. No matter how constitutionalist a judge my seem, there is always a risk of him going off the rails once he/she gets to the cesspool that is DC. Thst place ruins and corrupts people. Thsnkfully folks like Thomas, Scalia, Alito and so far Goresuch have not fallen into the swamp.
