Keep it in the Ground … By Blocking Pipelines

You can understand their frustration, as the steady stream of radical environmentalist successes during the Obama years has been replaced with endless setbacks. Oil, gas and coal leasing, permits and production have risen significantly. Big Green just lost its first Big Cities v. Big Oil climate change shakedown lawsuit. President Trump pulled the USA out of the economy-wrecking, all-pain-no-gain Paris Climate Treaty and will soon nominate another Supreme Court justice.

So, all these rabidly anti-fossil-fuel actions in Oakland and New York and across the USA will have no effect on global emissions or even theoretically on Earth’s climate. It’s all petulance, part of the radical Left’s determination to employ lawsuits and Saul Alinsky tactics to seize control of our economy, livelihoods, living standards and every other aspect of our lives – regardless of any human or environmental costs.

They don’t want oil pumped or refined, but they all want their electric cars because they think it is magic.
“You just plug it in and charge it up!” is the most common idiocy I hear from such people.

I know. Only in the windmills of their minds. Oh, like song lyrics.

Those same people are the same deep thinkers with remarks about not needing farms because there were grocery stores.

Jeremy Clarkson, late of Top Gear, referred to electric cars as coal-powered vehicles.

OK Envirosocialists. Show us you mean what you say. Live without electricity and cars. Then we’ll take you seriously. Of course you won’t be posting on the internet or using modern telecommunications because those run on electricity but still.......

I like to ask them what kind of roof they have on the swelling they live in.

Lots of petroleum products used for shingles.

Enviros also shriek in rage when reminded about how much mining for toxic substances must be done to produce batteries.
They say we’ll get our energy from ‘wind” or “solar” but forget the toxic materials needed for both, and they also won’t allow them to be built anywhere that makes sense.
(Unless you’re a rancher, then they want to confiscate your ranch and put Chinese solar up on it..)
