“I would much rather have DeSantis in Congress rather than as governor of Florida”
If he loses the Governor’s race, will he remain in Congress? I haven’t been paying much attention to the Florida race. I do know we need as many DeSantis-like politicians doing what they’re doing in DC. He’s fighting the good fight; we need him!
My guess is that DeSantis may be preparing to run for president after Trump is term-limited out. Or at least he could run with Pence. We need Florida’s electoral votes, especially with all the anti-US new arrivals from Puerto Rico.
Surely there are some conservative Puerto Ricans, but we don’t hear much about them, if they exist.
I don’t know the answer to that. I’m in the same spot I don’t live in Florida so I pay less attention to Florida politics. But when you got only 5 or 8 or 10 or even 20 genuine, and competent guys in Congress and you lose one of them it’s a big hit to the strength of the team.
