Hopefully many more given the left’s latest “idea”:

Hot New Lefty Idea: Let’s Pack the Court with Liberals as Soon as Democrats are Back in Power.

“...I haven’t heard this one yet from any big-name Democrats but give it time. With presidential primaries approaching, the left’s dumbest, most destructive ideas will inevitably migrate up the food chain. (“Abolish ICE!”) In modern American politics, turds float.

There’s been plenty of buzz about it online, where so many of those turds originate, since Kennedy’s announcement. Google “pack the court” and the hits will start rolling in — Vice, HuffPost, Jacobin, plus a smattering of lesser-known sites. The plan has some “respectable” support too, of course. Whenever a truly terrible idea is swirling among progressives, there’s always an academic somewhere willing to defend it.

...calling for a 15-seat Court instead of the 11-seater commonly being recommended this week. If you’re going to nuke what little is left of comity in Supreme Court nominations by embracing one of the few ideas FDR ever supported that was toxically unpopular even in his own time, might as well think big.

How moronic do you have to be to float court packing and try to build a philosophical case for it when the other side is in power.

Thanks to the filibuster, the bill would fail. But the dilemma for red-state Democrats would remain if Court-packing was still a thing when the next Democratic president took power. How do you support that and hold your Senate seat when a majority of your constituents vote Republican? You don’t. And as that fact dawned on the party, they’d inevitably abandon the Court-packing scheme and get excited instead about filling some Court seats themselves as vacancies inevitably opened up. This is a tantrum, nothing more, by a wing that’s frightened about the Court’s constitutional future.

If Trump fills all these seats with 45-55 year olds there won’t be vacancies until Barron takes his place. LOL

Here is what I see going down, as outlined by Dan Bongino:

The Left is in a tight place.

Here is a problem for them: The election does not look like it will be a “Blue Wave”. It may not be a “Red Wave”, but it likely won’t be a “Blue Wave”.

So here is the thought process for the Left:

Their only chance is to take back the Senate. But that doesn’t look likely. They have (IIRC) at least six senators up for re-election in states that went for Donald Trump in 2016, so their states supported Donald Trump.

If there is vote for a new justice prior to the election and they vote down that selection in a state that went for Donald Trump, that may not go over well, and they could lose their seat due to the political fallout.

So, here is what Trump should do: Get two candidates on deck, one who is very conservative and reliable, and one who is over the top conservative, a “Leftist Nightmare of a Supreme Court Justice”.

Trump will put up the very conservative and reliable one for nomination prior to the 2018 election, with the very public knowledge (unsaid of course) that if that “reliable” candidate is rejected, after the election, the wildly radically conservative candidate will be nominated.

The Leftists then have a gamble to consider: Do they accept the less radical candidate and vote them in before the election, or do they wait until after the election, when some Leftist senators from states that Trump won may go down due to the backlash to the rejection, and now they don’t have a chance to pick off enough Republican Senators (such as Collins from Maine and Murkowski from Alaska, both of who are raging RINOs and can likely be counted on by the Left) to counter the Democrat Senators who lost.

So, either they accept a conservative nominee we like and can live with, or they gamble, hoping against hope to regain power in the election to thwart any nominee. If they lose, they will get a radical conservative nominee who will be shoved down their throats, and they are going to just have to take it with no recourse.

That is how I see it going down.

It’s absolutely mind-blowing to hear the leftists’ fantasies about packing the court with 11 or 15 Justices next time they control all 3 branches. Are they really that stupid, deranged or both? (My money’s on both). Sure, it’s legally possible to increase the number of SCOTUS judges and pack withe court, but, then why shouldn’t the GOP do the same damned thing right now? And why couldn’t the GOP then bump the size of the court up 21 when they get back in power? Heck, any new administration (with party control of congress) would simply add as new Justices as it saw fit, and after a few administrations, there could be 50, 75, 100 Justices. The sky’s the limit. Heck, why not just get it over with and admit that the Court has become a 3rd legislative branch?
