“Demonstrated hostility”? WTF does that mean? Disagrees with? Is that now the litmus test?
That's the key phrase. What it means that if someone is nominated who is on the record saying negative things about Roe, she won't support him/her. That is not the same thing as saying she is going to demand a commitment from the nominee not to overturn it.
So, the trick is to nominate an originalist/textualist who is almost certainly against Roe (because that's inherent to being an originalist/textualist), but just hasn't said so in public writings or statements.
She's actually giving the Administration a way out with that statement.
