A week ago this was recognized as a fringe idea even among staunch Democrats, the fringiest fringe around, but then something happened: One Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez shocked the Democrat establishment by defeating the favored 20-year incumbent, House Democratic Caucus Chairman Joe Crowley (D-N.Y.), in last Tuesday’s Democrat primary in New York’s 14th district. She ran, in part, on abolishing ICE, so now this has become the “[n]ew rallying call for 2020 Democrats,” as the AP put it.
Now, I really shouldn’t say this — I mean, I really shouldn’t. I want nothing more than for the Democrats to continue marching toward their cliff, but, alas, honest commentary is my bag. And here’s reality: If you leftists think avowed socialist Cortez’s win had mainly to do with abolishing ICE, you’re putting your electoral chances on ice. Cortez won, largely, for a simple reason.
Bigotry.
She had the right profile: a young, female, Hispanic in a district 70 percent non-white — a figure no doubt even higher among its Democrat electorate — and in which the incumbent was a wizened old white fellow (Crowley is 56 and looks 66). It helped that she’s attractive and articulate, but she shamelessly played the group-identity card, too, sending a message that no one should vote for an old white male. She even retweeted the picture of an attorney who expressed the sentiment that “all white people are racist.”
The Washington Post pointed this phenomenon out, by the way, running a Wednesday article titled “The worst thing to be in many Democratic primaries? A white male candidate.” The paper writes, “Democratic voters have been picking women, racial minorities, and gay men and lesbians in races around the country at historic rates.”

What’s amazing is that before last Tuesday, vast swaths of America, outside her insular little area of New York had even heard of this chick, yet now, as the result of only 12,000 or so votes, she is the toast of the town and the expected savior of democrats everywhere.
And they have the temerity to call us fickle.
We voted for a guy who has had a huge public persona for decades. We knew all about him because he had no secrets. Nearly everything he did had his name emblazoned on it in neon lights. He built some of the most over the top clubs and skyscrapers. She knew how mix alcohol.
The democrat party was digging itself into a hole already, she gives them a backhoe instead of a shovel.
Yes, like Bernie, Ocasio is unmasking the LEFT.

As always, it’s a “birds of a feather” thingy, they will snatch them from the jaws before they’re eaten.
It’s just one political party in DC, the UniParty. Been that way for a long time now. It looks out for their own and works hard to line the pockets of its elite with money “legally stolen” from the cash cows: “unwashed masses” (that’d be us)....that is till Trump came along.

IMHO......It’s pure fantasy & dreams to believe the Democrat Party is morphing into a “racial color political party”, even though on the surface, that clearly appears to be the case.
The facts are simply and plainly, tens of thousands of Whites, Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Indians, etc. of all political credos are openly abandoning the Democrat Party and, will never return.
America as a free nation is doing exactly would it should do, assimilate many races, cultures, religions into a single society that intermingles and tolerates the protected rights of all it varied people, whoever they are. This my friends, if you you follow our history, is the story of the greatness of the American nation. We fought a most bloody Civil War, yet with all the hate and evil slavery and, the killing of our POTUS, Abe Lincoln, America marched on to free the slaves and join the North & South as one again.
The magnificent occurrence of such massive inter-marriage of so many different types of people, cultures, religions is clearly the proof of the pudding of a free society mixing among itself to achieve a greater society for all it’s citizen, no matter who they may be.
The Democrat Party in its forever shortsightedness has missed, the boat, the train, the plane, in attempting to play one group of people against another. Shame on all of them from Obama, Clinton on down!!!
The current Democrat Party is destroying itself with each passing day as a viable, effective, productive, free society, political organization. The end for the Democrats is near. Case closed!!!
