Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz said last week that his defense of President Donald Trump’s constitutional rights led to him being “shunned” by his own friends at a high-end seasonal destination.
The famed lawyer lamented the efforts to eject him from his social life at Martha’s Vineyard amid his outspoken criticism of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into the alleged collusion with Russia.
In an op-ed for The Hill, Dershowitz, a frequent guest on Fox News, said that though he’s politically a liberal Democrat who voted for Hillary Clinton in addition to contributing “handsomely” to her campaign, his defense of civil liberties that could benefit Trump is too much to swallow for his social circle.
“But that is not good enough for some of my old friends on Martha’s Vineyard. For them, it is enough that what I have said about the Constitution might help Trump. So they are shunning me and trying to ban me from their social life on Martha’s Vineyard."
“I never thought I would see McCarthyism come to Martha’s Vineyard, but I have. I wonder if the professor who refuses to listen to anything I have to say also treats his students similarly,” he continued. “Would he listen to a student who actively supported Trump? What about one who simply supported his civil liberties?”

My guess is Professor Dershowitz voted for Hillary only for the one reason that became evident this week: Supreme and other court appointments.
At first it sounds like he’s whining, but actually he’s using this as a DIRECT ATTACK on the left, and very effectively.

With me, it is all about gaining converts. Just like Christianity preaches. Ronald Reagan was once a Democrat and he ended up not only converting to conservatism but became one of the all-time great figures of the Republican Party and one of our top presidents.
Donald Trump is well down that same path.
So I think it's a great thing to win people over from the other side. I'm not convinced Dershowitz is all the way over to our side just yet but I'm not locking the door on him either.

Isn't Dershowitz also well-known for his nude strolls on the beach? (Shudder...that was an ugly mental image.) In my book, exhibitionism in an adult suggests a wrongly-wired brain. His reputed pedophilia certainly confirms it.

Virginia was a sober, non sensational witness, and testified to having sex with Dersh at least 5 times, in at least 3 different locations (Epstein’s homes and plane). She was 16.

Dershowitz May never have been to the island. In her testimony, Virginia said that Dersh and Epstein were frequently in the office discussing business when Epstein would start doing sexual things with Virginia, and she said Dershowitz would stay and watch. Then eventually Epstein lent her out to him...
