Yes. History and civics are sorely lacking in public schools and have been so for a long time. Need more Washington and less Sacagawea. And more about *good* government.

George Washington has been replaced in school history books by Marilyn Monroe. School textbooks are authored and peer reviewed by groups of progressive professors, for decades.

Yes, parents are surely responsible for their children’s learning. But teachers have been working ‘under our radar’ for a long time, themselves indoctrinated by progressive professors, and led at work by the progressive NEA.

Teachers are a serious American problem.
