If you abolish ice, how will you keep your drinks cold? What will children skate on in the winter? What will happen to polar bears and penguins? Are you going to keep them in your freezer?

Before last week, these were the mindless slogans of an infantile left, seen on signs at rallies to abolish ICE, the agency that arrests and deports criminal aliens who have no right to be in our country.
By last week, however, “Abolish ICE!” was no longer the exclusive slogan of the unhinged left. National Democrats were signing on.
Before his defeat in New York’s 14th Congressional District, Joe Crowley, fourth-ranked Democrat in the House, called ICE a “fascist” organization.

Now they've dropped the whole charade and with 'Abolish ICE' admit that they favor open borders. How long before the pro-amnesty GOP establishment joins its Democrat kindred spirits to making 'Abolish ICE' their slogan too?
Oh just let them keep it up. This is one issue on which they’ve jumped the gun, lacking the patience to do their usual propanda preparation. Their new minority hotshots don’t have the patience or the experience to understand the leftist “long march”, and the fact that their more esperienced political animals (aside from the usual bomb-throwers, the Maxine Waters types) are trying to soft-pedal and back-pedal on this, shows it.
If they yell loud enough about this (which amounts to “no borders”, and our side needs to be sure to make that clear, loud and long) in the run-up to the mid-terms, a red wave the likes of which they couldn’t conceive is going to hit them.

After Crowley’s rout by a 28-year-old socialist who called for killing the agency, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., declared ICE to be “a cruel deportation force (that) we need to abolish.”
Cynthia Nixon, a candidate for governor of New York, described ICE as a “terrorist organization ... terrorizing people who are coming to this country. ... We need to abolish ICE.”
Rational people recognize the difference between law enforcement and "terrorism," and realize that what the Left is hysterically calling "fascism" today (i.e. arresting and deporting illegal immigrants) was standard operating procedure even when Clinton and Obama were in office.

‘Abolish ICE’ is just their latest trendy fad since the ‘Impeach Trump!’ and ‘Russian Meddling/Collusion’ fads fell flat.
Next week they’ll be freaking out because water flows downhill and they’ll be blaming it on Trump.

I’m surprised that there isn’t a big contingent of Congressional Democrats pushing to replace the National Anthem with “Imagine.”

All the hysteria about separating children from their parents falls into the same category of knee-jerk, emotive idiocy. Somehow, it never registered with them that when anyone is detained or incarcerated for ANY reason, they don’t get to take their kids with them to jail.
One is puzzled where this push to disenfranchise the police powers the US government maintains to support the Border Patrol comes from, until the very long history of resisting ALL police power, at least not held by their side, by the command-and-control advocates, is finally understood.
This is very much a part of the Saul Alinsky playbook. “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”
Legislating morality and ideology by hashtags and catch phrases. How’d that work for those kidnapped Nigerian school girls??

Well, in years to come, when the 30, 40, 50, and 60-plus generation are all gone, they’ll be stuck living in “Venezuela” with no one left to pull them out.
The funny part is, with education headed for the pits, they won’t even be able to read about it.
The vilification of ICE and Border Patrol today is from the same playbook as the vilification of police after the Ferguson shooting. In both cases, the Left has decided that the law doesn’t apply to their protected class of “minority” pets.
Whenever I read paeans to St Lennon, I like to “imagine” the full-sized, climate-controlled room that he and Ms Ono Lennon had, dedicated to the storage and care of their many items of fur clothing.
Also, their social engineering of the military (heretofore a staunchly conservative entity) fits with that pattern.
The Liberal Stampede to ‘Abolish ICE’

They change stories and “crises” fast—we need them stuck on this one until November...please...please...please...
They are not liberals Pat. They are Bolsheviks bent on the violent imposition of their views, the principal one of which is their right to the power to control everyone else.
And then they are backed by the cynical crony capitalist open borders crowd, but corruption is something we all understand.
