What the progressives are doing is known as cultural jamming”. They create a parody of something normals revere, such as life in Christian communities(Handmaid’s Tale), or parodies of religion (such as the pastafarians, or the Church of the Subgenius). The parody takes up cultural space, and displaced the good. All of these things are intended to devalue the actual thing there parodying, so as to convince weak-minded people to join the “cool” progressives in devaluing God or decent Christian people, or gun owners, or whatever. And it’s working— America is full of cultural rot, and it’s getting worse.
