Staying at a cheap hotel? That is often the case for folks using local charity. Or perhaps welfare. Put a penalty on them as well for aiding and abetting criminals. I mean - if the cops can determine if an ID is fake one would think at least the welfare office could as well.
Here in NJ some faded motels in areas Americans don’t visit anymore have switched to temporary welfare-type housing. Years ago there was a news story about the “injustice” of some places reserving the pool for paying guests; they didn’t want welfarians chasing away paying customers.

A few weeks ago our enemedia in NJ was running stories about how violent crime was rising in Central Americans due to the return of criminals we’d deported. I kid you not, this was ran to generate sympathy for these murderers and rapists HERE.
I hire a lot of Mexican ethnics, we now e-verify. During the prior administration, the DHS told me it “wasn’t my job” to decide if I was given fake ID and I could open myself up to a discrimination lawsuit. This is why we have so many fake green cards.

This is why leftists import third world people into our country. They know a percentage of them will commit crimes and keep people scared. A people living in fear are much less likely to rise up against a totalitarian government.
