The Obama economy sucked and was especially awful for younger people just starting out in their careers. They got pushed down to being baristas at Starbucks or like the Democrats’ new poster girl, being bartenders. Yes, even those with college degrees.
The economic rebound since President Trump pushed through tax cuts and deregulation has finally enabled many to get real jobs for the first time. Getting stricter about H1B visa abuse would allow many to move up the ladder. At the big bank where I work I’d say literally 1/3rd of the people in the back office are H1B visa holding Indians. They’re cheaper than Americans so the Banks and Tech companies and I’m sure many more companies load up on them. This is an abuse. I have a friend who works for a different major bank in another city and he tells me its the same there. You can’t tell me there aren’t plenty of young Americans who could do those jobs - we’re not talking about jobs that require a masters in computer engineering here.
Clamping down on illegal immigration significantly increases the bargaining power of the working and middle class in this country and will allow them to finally get some significant pay raises.
I predict as the economy keeps rolling along and as we clamp down on the level of immigration, things will continue to get better for many millions of Americans - especially younger Americans - and you’ll see Trump’s popularity continue to rise with them.
We must reduce LEGAL immigration substantially from the current 1.1 million annually. You could end all illegal immigration and not change the inevitable result of the Dems being the permanent majority party. The status quo on legal immigration is unacceptable.

And THIS ^^ is the reason that both parties want open borders! The Rs give lip service to national security but they are owned by the Chamber of Commerce and Wall Street, who love to exploit foreign workers who do the job for half the cost. The Ds, on the other hand, are looking for votes and need to import them by promising goodies to every new group that comes into the country, and constantly affirming victimhood status so as to keep people under their control.
The Swamp in DC has been bought and paid for by the lobbyists and the two parties only pretend to oppose each other, all while striking deals in the middle of the night to protect their own interests.
If enough people wake up and see what’s really behind the curtain, we may have a chance to turn it around...but I am really wondering if we have gone too far afield to get back on course!
