Popular is not popular.

They mean self chosen Big City Coastal vote.
Tennesse could care less about someone else’s Big City vote. They do not care about marches or demonstrations, or drug needles in the streets or bullet trains.

The purple states turn blue. After VA turned blue, NC is next. FL isn’t far off. The Dems start off with a huge advantage electorally. The long term trend is on the Dem’s side. Demography is destiny.
