There will be a big display downtown, but it’s not very dark for good viewing from here.
Now the school yard might be quite different. Our yard backs up to it. d:o)
LOL! I like the word, too, but don’t have many opportunities to use it. It certainly is appropriate for what’s going on outside the past few nights since the katydids “woke up”.
It’s going to make for a nice rest of the summer. I step outside several times each night just to listen.
Yes, the school yard DOES back up to yours. That’s why I’m surprised you haven’t gone out to watch. LOL
It’s too bad it stays light so late up there. That does take a little out of the fun of fireworks.

Don't know how Li'l Bit's family did, but it didn't seem to faze Peaches. :)
...and Ginger was just curious as to where the noise was coming from.
I love your kitty pictures!
Howdy, MEG!
Hope you’ve had a wonderful 4th!
Thank you. I love my kitties! :)
?
I spent the Fourth posting on the FReepathon thread, LOL!
I watched fireworks on TV.
The back behaved well despite spending so much time on the computer...I may take the day off tomorrow...Sounds like you had nature displays and fireworks all around!
Happy Fourth
Unless it rains, there are always a lot of parties across the county with people loaded with fireworks to shoot off. No matter which direction we look, there are sparkles in the sky.
We do miss the parties our friends had for around 20 years before their house burned down. WE were the ones putting on the fireworks shows. :-)
I didn’t think about the JH cams. I the Snow King Mountain cam up now and they had some NICE BIG fireworks.
Peaches didn’t seem the slightest bit fazed by the racket. LOL!
WOOHOO! You were paying attention.
That #50 is yours.
Weren’t they purdy? I watched the “Town of...” and the “Snow King Mountain Base” together to get two perspectives. It was better than sitting out in the heat and getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. LOL! AND I could watch in my jammies! Win/Win!
I had to do the grocery shopping today in sweltering heat. Would have much rather have spent the afternoon sitting at the computer, in the cool A/C. LOL
Yes, we did have quite a show out there tonight. Always nice when Mother Nature adds her own fireworks to the rest of them.
Glad your back’s hanging in there this evening. Taking the day off tomorrow might be a good idea to keep it in decent shape.
I plan to take it easy tomorrow too. Hauling grocery bags in, then vacuuming afterwards left my bum back a bit cranky tonight. Shoulda known better than to do both in one day. *sigh*
Ah, so there were fireworks on more than one cam? COOL! I’ll check ‘em out.
It was horrendously hot here today but a nice breeze kicked up right around sunset. It wasn’t too bad out there when we went out to watch fireworks. The only bummer was mosquitos buzzing us and biting. Well, they bit Hubby but just irritated me by bumping constantly. I don’t taste good to them, apparently, and that’s a big WOOHOO in my book! LOL!
Enjoy them. They were pretty in MN, too, but they don’t have a re-wind there. Darn it!
You’d think all the mosquitoes here would be dead by now since we haven’t had much rain, but noooooo. Hubby has to have rain barrels that are full! He puts stuff in them, but I’m thinking not often enough. My legs look like I’ve been in a viper pit. LOL!
Rest the back... that’’s just what I need to do. too.
I’m signing out now...Goodnight dear.
((HUGS))Good morning, Ladies. How's it going?
Did enjoy them! Thanks for the reminder because I didn’t even think about those cams tonight. DUH! It would have been even cooler if there was audio on the cams.
I imagine there are more rain barrels than those in your yard to keep the mosquito population going strong.
be glad you don’t have a lake similar to DH practically in your back yard like we do!
