Howdy, radu! Very pretty...glad y’all got to see some! I just heard some from a neighbor. Of course they aren’t supposed to be shooting them in city limits, but oh, well. I don’t think the cats were bothered by them. At least not that I saw.

Well, I’m talking Peaches and Ginger. Don’t know about the others. LOL! Maybe they’ll all run away. Problem solved. ;)

Howdy, LUV!

We’re fortunate that fireworks are allowed on the 4th. I knew it would be a pretty good night since the fireworks tents I passed this afternoon were pretty much emptied out. From what we saw, all the tents in the area must have sold most of their goodies. LOL! Every direction there were fireworks going off, and there was a bit of distant lightning to the east and to the west. Mother Nature wanted to add her touch to the festivities. :-)

Surprisingly, the cats have been pretty chill this evening. Maybe we’ve had so many thunderstorms this year they’ve gotten used to the racket. I dunno.

I hope Ghost, Lil Bit, and the babies aren’t too freaked out.

Howdy, Kathy.

Did you have a nice, relaxing day? Was it comfy enough to sit out on the deck for a bit?

It was hotter ‘n hades here. Did NOT want to do the grocery shopping but HAD to have canned food for the cats if we were going to survive the night. LOL

Howdy do, Conor! *HUGZ*

Hope y’all thoroughly enjoyed your 4th of July celebrations with steaks grilled to perfection washed down with fine American wine.

Howdy, PRO.

You’re probably off to dreamland by now.
Glad nothing came up to spoil your plans with your son at the gun range today. I know you two enjoy going.

LOL! Don’t blame you! I keep a lot of my files in 2-3 different places so if I’m out of pocket I can still find stuff! Too many things can happen! And always at the last minute, right?

Good evening, radu...what a great evening you've had.

The (illegal) fireworks are starting sporadically REALLY close by...maybe in the school yard. They are LOUD!

And a Happy Independence Day to you, too.

I am DVRing The Capitol Fourth concert right now. Glad to hear it is good.

You have had a wonderful day celebrating the birth of our Nation.

Glad y’all had a great day!

It was pretty quiet for us but the evening was fun watching everyone’s fireworks all around us.

Fireworks going off and you aren’t out watching them? LOL!

It stinks they aren’t legal there for at least the 4th of July. So many more folks could have fun without having to worry about running from the po-po.

T’wasn’t bad at all! LOL! The good thing was the lighting was distant and no rain ruined the night’s fireworks fun.

Added to it all was the cacophony of a gazillion katydids. They were so loud they drowned out the crickets chirping.
Ever since I was a little kid, katydids have been my favorite summertime bug.

” cacophony”

Pertinent to nothing on this thread——”cacophony” is one of my favorite words-—I just like it. :-)
