They have always been violent, intolerant, sadistic, and filled with hatred. All this is becoming overt now because they are losing everything they hoped to seize and are desperate.

That is an insult to rattlesnakes who will first try to escape a confrontation and then give fair warning before protecting itself. Unless a rat or some other small vermon.
