Be it the PUMAs in 2008, the #NeverTrumpers in 2016 or this or that, the media is always looking for this nearly non-existent group of hardcore Democrat/GOP partisans that are leaving in droves over just how upset they are.
Back in December 1998, when the House was voting to impeach Clinton, CNN ran a segment about Republicans who were changing their voting registration because they were so upset over impeachment. At any rate they showed one woman who claimed to have been a life-long Republican.
