Orban Stands up to Merkel, Refuses to Take Migrants from Germany
Breitbart (London) ^ | 6 Jul 2018 | Chris Tomlinson

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stood firm on mass migration during a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin Thursday, saying that his country would refuse to allow Germany to send migrants back to Hungary.

Chancellor Merkel described the meeting saying that Mr Orbán claimed Hungary felt, “not at all responsible for the processing of asylum applications”, and looked to countries like Greece to take responsibility for processing asylum claims instead, Der Spiegel reports.

The German leader added that the federal government could not see Europe “decouple” itself from asylum seekers and legitimate refugees but noted that the two leaders did find common ground on wanting to secure the European Union’s external borders.

The visit is the first time since 2014, before the height of the migrant crisis, that the Hungarian leader has formally been to Berlin. Since the crisis, Hungary has been firm on rejecting large numbers of migrants by first building a fence along the border with Serbia and then rejecting proposals to redistribute migrants throughout EU member states.

At this point, is there any question that foreign money bought Merkel?

Just look at the photo at the link. She is not a happy camper.

Eastern Europe has no desire to be Islamicized.

Nor should they.

It is insane to approach this like the EU has. No explanation other than huge amounts of cash behind the insanity.

You could add this odd ingredient to the situation. Orban could stand up and take in 10,000 migrants. But once they arrived....figured the low offerings of unemployment benefits and marginal ‘help’ while they integrate....99-percent will pack up within 30 days and leave for Germany.

What they generally fear is that once you did any acceptance deal with the EU....that they’d (the EU) come and want to force you into some similar benefits package as Germany hands out.

How Merkel is not in a jail cell is beyond me. In any past civilization, from Greece to Rome to pre-1950s America, she would probably be executed for treason.

All Totalitarianism is Evil.

Having lived in Germany twice, I don’t think she was bought. They really do have this dopey and hopelessly naive view of the world - at least the elites do. The aging hippie/socialist 68ers who run things in Germany have this ridiculous kumbaya belief that all cultures are equal, that anybody can be integrated, that anybody who cares to wander in should be granted asylum and handed free goodies from the government, etc.

They are so fearful that anybody anywhere will accuse them of being Nazis or racist that they’ll gladly rill over and give away the store in order not to be called that. Any kind of pride in their own culture (other than “European” or socialist and Gaia Worshiping) is verboten. I knew from the early 90s that it was only a matter of time before they got a flood of third worlders who were unemployable and who would live on the dole for as long as it lasted. I’m surprised it took this long for the third world hordes to figure out the door was wide open.

Thanks for the explanation. I was judging her by what I see in the US.

So, I guess she just, “drank the Kool-Aid”. Headshake.

Hungary built their own wall & stopped the flow if invaders down to about less than 3%. They also billed the EU for the cost of the fence.

Hungary seems to be the ONLY European nation that understands they should keep the invaders OUT.

Merkel was Stasi in East Germany before the wall came down. How stupid are Germans?

Kind of like appointing a communist to head the CIA. Who kept a muslim prayer rug in his office.

Oh wait...

Not surprising considering all the years they suffered under the boot of Soviet communism.
