Precisely! That’s an ugly truth few want to face and admit. Genetics matter. No books at home, no value of education or ability to promote it. Yet EVERY mall these ‘kids’ frequent in their expensive sneakers and haircuts have BOOKS for sale. Beginning books. How many libraries are there in town with FREE books? Newspapers, tv programs for children, help online? Every Iphone gives them access to apps for children to learn to read. OLD books are still informative, the alphabet hasn’t changed, nor has phonics. No excuse for ANYONE who CAN learn to read to be illiterate in 2018 America.

"Boxers are wonderful dogs."

_______________

They surely are. My wife and I just had our best friends, our two old boxer dogs die in the past year. It's still terribly sad around our house.

Some day soon I will try to show you a picture of the old male who passed away. He had the great wisdom of Somerset Maugham on his face as he got old.
