The past several months have seen high-profile instances of outright racial harassment and a much-bemoaned downturn in “civility.”

all thanks to intolerant left wingers...

“Income levels are stagnating, and inequality is soaring.”

as per today’s job reports numbers, wages are up .2% for the month of June as is the labor participation rate- both outstanding..

“A growing number of Americans despair of ever achieving the American Dream. The United Nations has reported on the United States’ rates of youth poverty, infant mortality and incarceration — the highest in the developed world. “

yet there are now more job openings then unemployed in the country...oh the woe!!!

"American dream is now a nightmare"

No, Mexico is a nightmare, Haiti is a nightmare, Syria is a nightmare, Lebanon is a nightmare, Cuba is a nightmare, Libya is a nightmare, Venezuela is a nightmare, Nigeria is a nightmare, and that's why so many people from those and other nightmares are trying to get into the USA.

A Columnist focused on ideas and social shifts
Education: Princeton University, AB in public and international affairs
Christine Emba writes about ideas for The Washington Post's Opinions section.
Before coming to The Post in 2015, Christine was the Hilton Kramer Fellow in Criticism at the New Criterion and a deputy editor at the Economist Intelligence Unit, focusing on technology and innovation. She grew up in Virginia and holds an A.B. in public and international affairs from Princeton University.

So my presumption is that this woman is literate and a-courant with the latest bullet-points from the Young Socialists or the DNC (not that there is much difference there.) Either that or she was in a coma during the Obama Administration where everybody's income was depressed except for Wall Street & Washington DC. I think that she is channeling Hillary's antagonism towards the irredeemable and deplorable non-LEFTists.

Mz Emba is the journalistic version of Neymar, the Brazillian soccer player who has become a laughing stock for rolling on the ground and howling over immaginary injuries.

She quotes the lie that there have been 23 school shootings this year, when that fallacious figure includes every dead gang member’s body found on school property. She says children are being put in cages, when that was done in 2014 during King Barack’s Reign of Error.

The world is ridiculing Neymar for his histrionics, and writers such as Mz Emba ought to be laughed out of our media as well.

“Forced migration?”

Are we kicking Central Americans out of their homes? What is she talking about?

So an Affirmative Action Jackson who’s not even 30 years old and doesn’t have a degree of any kind in “journalism” (and who’s bounced all over the place already) is somehow hired and “qualified” to opine at the “great” Wapo?

Seriously, this is what passes for “columnists” nowadays? I’ve noticed that in recent years, this is what the “free press” hires. Young phony self-proclaimed “elites” who condescend on real people, who pretend they’re so smart because they were quota’d into an Ivy League, but who can’t think for themselves and are used and abused by their white overlords.

Yet are too stupid to realize it.

Yes, baby, 23 school shootings and 2000 “separations” of criminal trespassers in a Nation of 330 million is certainly “evidence’ of the loss of the “American Dream”

At least in your case, the American Dream is lost, agreed, as you’ve been handed everything and still want to bitch and moan like the little crybaby you are.

Yesterday, I tried to find a youtube that was not Fox News that was about the accomplishments of our president since his first 500 days. This, like your post, would be a great thing to see in pictures and footage.

P.S. You forget assigning a conservative/ originalist on the court.

"It’s been a great year for real Americans."

Indeed it has.

Just the ComPost preaching to the choir again.

The parishioners are tiring of their message and moving on from their negativity with more jobs and better pay.

It's a pity these DemonRat cheerleaders have no vision or message which will inspire the voters? Losing is in your future darling.

My husband, who does not have a degree in journalism (his is in business econ) was just hired today as a contributor for Forbes. So, it’s not all bad. [okay, I am jubilant for him and kinda bragging.

The highest “equality” is being able to find a job at all, and that equality is increasing immensely. Economics, not government manufactured programs, determine the economic worth of our labor and our Liberty gives us the ability to improve that as we see the need for that improvement. Equal pay with someone else NOT doing exactly what we are doing is promised to no one.

Hey, that doesn’t matter.

What’s real are school shootings (that overpaid, lazy, politicized “law enforcement” failed to ID and stop). And those poor “separateds” (that aren’t and shouldn’t be part of the American Dream anyway, because they can’t respect our laws and territory).

Christine needs to serve in the military, be victimized by crimes, committed by illegals or otherwise . . . or Islamic terrorists, visit military cemeteries, trudge with a backpack on the sands of Iwo Jime, have family and friends addicted to drugs, sons and daughters harassed in school and the streets, view abortion videos, and work a REAL job in a factory or farm.

Then maybe this dumbass might understand what’s REALLY IMPORTANT in LIFE.

“On this Independence Day, let’s go ahead and admit that 2018 has not been the most uplifting year.“

Actually this year has been one of the most fun for me ever.

"Christine Emba "

What the heck kind of name is Emba? Is that one of these invented names? Or maybe "Emba" should go back to the land she came from.

The American dream is a nightmare because the proverbial melting pot is nothing but a pressure cooker sitting on a hot stove, without a relief valve. It’s only a matter of time before the pressure cooker explodes.

“Income levels are stagnating, and inequality is soaring.”

Did she mean income inequality is soaring yet all income levels are stagnant? Is that even possible?

Is this a “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times” type thing or is she just a dumbass?
