Maybe it should be that if you don't pay, you can't vote, as well!
Section 1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election for President or Vice President, for electors for President or Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to pay any poll tax or other tax.
Section 2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
This is hugely bad.
Let me explain.
A few years ago I had a complex financial transaction.
I hired an accountant, who I am still with, I could not maneuver the transaction on my own at tax time.
THE IRS USES COMPUTERS TO SCAN AND FIGURE OUT YOUR RETURN. STUPID COMPUTERS.
Now the computer did not pick up the complex transaction AND because of it, I was dinged with a 200K plus tax bill.
I called the accountant, and he said no problem, that eventually it would be placed in the hands a of human and be cleared up. He sent in a letter. Four months later another IRS bill came for 150K.
This process continued for over 18 months until I got the tax bill that I owed zero.
I would have been trapped with no recourse if I needed to travel abroad during this time.
VERY BAD IDEA.
Each time a bill came
