Who’s going to pay when the jihadist come over and kill hundreds of Americans? All of us maybe even you or your family. We waste billions on things that aren’t even the job of the Federal government the border and protecting this country from its enemies is a primary duty written in the Constitution. Maybe you are fine with that duty be shirked I am not.

Sadly it seems that protecting the American people from their enemies seems to rate lower for many than protecting our enemies from some of our other enemies. We seem to be all to willing to spend money and blood protecting citizens of other countries far more that spend it on protecting our own.

As soon as the people and institutions which I can’t stand started attacking him I knew he was my man. The “pope’s” attack clinched it for me.

Those who hate him I know are enemies of the people.

I am so glad the New York mag is here to help me truly understand conservatism and Trump. I was so very concerned if Trump was some Doctrinaire Rockefeller Republican or a Drooling Knuckle-Dragging Isolationist. Once properly framed, it’s obvious the NY Rag couldn’t tell Shiite from Shinola.

The more interesting results of the Pew Study are not the conservatives, but the liberals.

If you read between the lines, the hard-core "Solid Liberals" are actually the stereotypical conservative: white, affluent, and unyieldingly rigid in their worship of the state. Many of the other Democrats have a make-up and concerns that - broadly, but not specifically - present a real opportunity for Trump to make inroads.

Solid Liberals are the largest group in the Democratic coalition, and they make up close to half (48%) of politically engaged Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents.

Largely white, financially comfortable and highly educated (most are college graduates and nearly a third have postgraduate degrees), Solid Liberals overwhelmingly express liberal attitudes on virtually every issue.

And their level of political activism in the months following Trump’s election sets Solid Liberals apart from all other groups in the political typology, left or right. Nearly half of Solid Liberals (49%) say they have contributed money to a political candidate or campaign in the past year; no more than a third in any other group (32% of Core Conservatives) say the same. And 39% of Solid Liberals report they have participated in a protest against Trump’s policies, which also is by far the highest share among the political typology groups.

For the most part, Opportunity Democrats agree with Solid Liberals on major issues. But Opportunity Democrats are less affluent, less politically engaged and less liberal – both in their attitudes on issues and in how they describe themselves politically. One area of difference between Opportunity Democrats and Solid Liberals is on corporate profits: 40% of Opportunity Democrats say most corporations make a “fair and reasonable amount of profit,” compared with 16% of Solid Liberals. And Opportunity Democrats stand out in their belief that most people can get ahead if they are willing to work hard.

Disaffected Democrats have very positive feelings toward the Democratic Party and its leading figures. Their disaffection stems from their cynicism about politics, government and the way things are going in the country. This financially stressed, majority-minority group supports activist government and the social safety net, but most say government is “wasteful and inefficient.” A large majority of Disaffected Democrats say their side has been losing in politics, while fewer than half believe that voting gives them a say in how the government runs things.

A second majority-minority group, Devout and Diverse, faces even tougher financial hardships than Disaffected Democrats. Devout and Diverse also are the most politically mixed typology group (about a quarter lean Republican), as well as the least politically engaged. Like Disaffected Democrats, they are critical of government regulation of business. They also are the most religiously observant Democratic-leaning group, and the only one in which a majority (64%) says it is necessary to believe in God to be moral and have good values.

Why is it that being uneducated is the only way to understand that unfettered immigration harms the USA?

Total crap. Funds are appropriated by the Congress not the Executive. Trump is fighting on every front and you complain he hasn’t done what he can’t do.

For the first time in 60 yrs he is actually enforcing the law and you have the nerve to complain.

As an example of the opposition is the unaccompanied children charade. Complete lies but the Left uses every tool it can.

Trump is the LEAST of our problems.

This is a smug and arrogant article attacking conservatives / Republicans in general.

Although, it may have a point underneath that. President Trump’s conversions on a dime on a host of issues many of us simply did not believe proved to be correct - either they were completely genuine conversions, or he is simply keeping his word. Either way, he did in fact deliver on enacting conservative policies and they are working...and he continues to do so. The “biggee” is the judges...he is appointing some of the finest people to the federal bench ever appointed by any President. This is a reality that cannot be denied. He delivered on appointing a great Supreme Court justice and it is likely he is about to deliver on this again a second time around. Therefore, the fact he has shored up more conservative support as part of his core base is perfectly logical.

Thanks for posting. Looks like there is plenty of opportunities for the Trumpster to make gains in the not totally insane Democrats.

Total crap? The President is responsible for the security of the US as I said the Court just rule that security of the US is the privy and responsibility of the President. If he deems it is necessary to the security of the us he has the ability to do it, you know like the travel ban?

Its the price we pay for living in a representative republic. But, don’t worry, the way things are going that won’t be for long.

Kasich voters far above even is the second highest one. Interestingly how in the bottom category Trump, Cruz, and Rubio voters are all together while Kasich voters are still far and away above all of the groups.

Of course there were never that many Kasich voters so who cares.

There are other cases in the court system which have stopped many of his efforts. It took two years to get a ruling of the Court with the exclusions from majority Islamic nations.

Cases are on going wrt Sanctuary cities. There is no telling how many such cases have the administration tied up in court.

So “yes”, total crap.

Total CRAP! He got a judge say it his bailiwick! If he would fire that poor excuse of an AG and get in someone with fire in their belly now that they got the ruling they could quickly put a stop to it. The court does not take kindly to people bring the same argument to to them that they have already ruled on. With Kennedy gone they no reason that these lawsuits arguing more or less the same point should hold things up.

Cheerleaders huh? You learn that all by yourself?

Here’s my life’s list of Presidents:
JFK, LBJ, RMN. Jimmah, RR, Bush I, Clinton, Bush II, Hussein, DJT

RR and DJT are the best.

No cheerleading going on, just rational analysis.

And I was fooled like many, became anti-Trump because thought he was there to split the party and let Hillary Rotten waltz in.

So in early August 2015 I set out to prove DJT was a lying skunk. Spent a weekend in one of the world’s great libraries and came out with my ass kicked at what I found:

Oh, and there was much more discovery to come.

No cheerleading at all, just pure research and analysis of character, abilities, achievements, beliefs, history. values.

It’s insulting to see slower newbies boil the collective experience of solid Freepers down to ‘Cheerleading’. If they are going to be critical, they must start with the person in the mirror.

Donald Trump is a once in a lifetime historical person and leader. That he even volunteered to step down to politics is a miracle.

One video linked below shows why people love this leader, people who were skeptical and then realized that Donald was pounding away at their attitudes, at developing winning attitudes, not cheerleading, but loving what you do for a living and never giving up. People listen and they start taking a self-inventory, zapping negativity, getting tough to succeed. Donald wins people over not because he’s self-centered but because he makes individuals look inside themselves and get themselves prepared to achieve success.

And then there are speeches of the type linked below that won him the election:

It’s nothing to do with cheerleading, it has to do with getting serious, getting real.

The Anti-Trump Right Has Become Trump’s Base

Total B. S.

His base is made up of people who stood beside him when the going got tough.

Others were either against him or MIA.

This writer needs to get day job.

My own research I found nothing that assured me one way or the other. I read a lot of mix messages his friends and acquaintances were a mixed lot and he had no political record to speak of.

I have agree and continue to state that he was the best choice, but I say it was a crap shoot no one knew 100% how he was going to preform and face it for many of us that came down to Hilary had to be stopped at all cost.
