“This new challenge will be the perfect environment to learn new skills with the hope to bring them back to my everyday challenges and make my life even more marvelous.”

One new skill may very well be the iceberg equivalent of log rolling.

Why do they flip?

Well; the top; in air of below freezing; stays pretty much the same size; while the underwater part is in water that is ABOVE freezing; thus melting the support right out from under the berg.

When the center of mass drifts off enough from the center of pressure; FLIP!

Of course, if the berg is a large flat sheet; it will just keep settling into the ocean.

Once it starts getting a more uniform shape; that’s when the rolling will occur.
