Our Lord did not marry.
Why would dedicating yourself totally to God be a bad idea?
Nice try, but that was Jesus basically parrying away the Pharisees. He just said oddballs like that don’t go to hell necessarily.
It’s far from him saying people need to be celibate forever. It’s unnatural and it’s a perversion
Dan Brown’s famous work “The Da Vinci Code” suggests otherwise.
Would this count as a new gender?
Good women should be having big families.
Provide a quote to prove that.
Women want to ***** every day, and their need to do so is innate, the core of their DNA.
I met Chrissy Amphlett once.
It is unnatural.
You wim comment of the day.
Not according to Dan Brown. But anyway even if you did it’s pretty obvious that the Lord is not judged by human standards. he stands above everything so that’s a red herring.
I wish them all the best. I have no doubt this is the right life for some.
The versed proceeding that quote. It was Jesus just dealing with the Pharisees. It certainly was not Jesus saying that celibacy was the preferred way to be. He just as afterthought said the people who chose to be that way would be accepted into heaven. That’s pretty weak tea. He sure didn’t push it
I’ll bet a bunch of priests are excited.
“Nice try, but that was Jesus basically parrying away the Pharisees.”
So He didn’t mean it? You’re saying Jesus was just scoring debate points?
“He just said oddballs like that dont go to hell necessarily.”
You’re seriously delusional if you believe that. The verse, the passage, says NOTHING OF THE KIND.
“Its far from him saying people need to be celibate forever. Its unnatural and its a perversion”
The only perversion is your pathetic misinterpretation of God’s Word. Jesus never said people need to be celibate forever nor is anyone claiming He did. You’re creating strawmen here. And if it is unnatural and a perversion to be celibate “forever” then Christ and St. Paul were perverts and unnatural. That’s what you’re claiming even if you don’t realize it. That’s how anyone can know your ideas and understandings are ridiculous.
“It is unnatural.”
Some could say dying in someone else’s place is unnatural, but. . .
Jesus did it anyway.
I’ve run into my fair share.
Holy Writ vs The DaVinci Code...how charming.
In my view, yes! If you believe in the Bible, you have to believe in the purpose for which we were “put here.” Foregoing the basic reasons for so doing, I believe to be operating at crossed purposes to some those same teachings. I guess it's fine if you feel that somehow being celibate “get’s you closer to God," but that's not how I view it.
