Let me guess. Mueller and Co. gave her a heads up about something big coming out and as a result she finds an easy path to victory or so she thinks.
The Mueller and company angle? I don’t think the prosecution game will pop up until the fall of 2019. She may have been given the inside scoop to the timing and believes that a repeat of 2016, without Trump in the equation...would lead to her ‘win’.
The problem I see is that she’s four years older by that point, less healthy than she was in 2016 (it was already a major problem with the cough), and she would have to depend on the Democratic Party preventing Bernie, or any big-name from running in the primary.
If you were going to whip out the scenario of a Trump-less 2020 election, Trump dragged into court, no real competition for Hillary....then I’d predict the lowest turn-out in a hundred years.
