Rep. Devin Nunes is referring 42 Obama administration officials, FBI agents and outside political activists to a House task force for as investigation into how the Obama Justice Department targeted the Donald Trump campaign.
If the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and Judiciary Committee agree, their task force would conduct the most extensive probe to date on anti-Trump government operations in 2016.
Mr. Nunes, Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, has sent letters to Oversight head Trey Gowdy of South Carolina and Judiciary’s Bob Goodlatte of Virginia.
The California Republican is asking his fellow GOP legislators to summon for public testimony all 42 — a cast of FBI, Justice Department and State Department officials and outside anti-Trump people with whom they communicated.
Last year, amid a probe into Russian election interference, Mr. Nunes veered from the Trump collusion narrative. His new inquiry was sparked by indications that a piece of evidence driving the FBI probe — the Democratic Party-financed dossier — was unverified and at worst a hoax.
Former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele, who was paid by Democrats to write the dossier and who told a Justice official he was “desperate” to destroy the Trump candidacy, is not one of the Nunes 42.
Last winter, Mr. Nunes released a declassified memo that showed the FBI relied greatly on the dossier to convince a judge to approve a series of wiretaps on Trump volunteer Carter Page.
Through subpoenas, Mr. Nunes also forced Democrats to acknowledge that the dossier was financed by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign. He says the FBI abused the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) by using opposition research on one party to spy on the other––in this case the Trump team...

Looks to me that if anyone interfered in our election it was Great Britain’s MI6. Maybe we should be taking a LONG look at Britain’s interference in our country. Like maybe the 1940 World’s Fair Bombing and the Lindbergh baby kidnapping.

While I am glad Nunes is keeping up the pressure, I have to agree with you both. Another "strongly worded letter."
We know how much the "letters" scare the Deep State and the global cabal. This what they do with them.
The only thing that will work now is US Marines taking these people into custody, putting them aboard a C-130 or C-17 in chains, and flying them to GITMO or another secure location for trial by the military.

Kind of ironic that they’ve had two occurrences now where they are pointing the finger at Russia. Why does the deep state both here and Britain want to make Russia look bad? Or am I reading into things wrong? My gut tells me not to trust them for some reason.

The Brits have gone over the cliff and their muslim invasion will wipe out any last remaining vestiges of what they once were. They will need us to save their asses a 3rd time, but this time after this meddling, it is very unlikely to happen......they’re dead men walking. Their children and grandchildren, if any survive, will all be speaking arabic.

Yup, deep state is global.
Although an effort is being made, I DO NOT see anything coming of the “effort”. Like the prolonged Mueller witch hunt, having wasted millions of tax payer dollars and not coming up with anything, I see NOTHING but more wasted dollars. When has anyone been convicted of anything worthwhile? When?
Re: your suggestion to fly them to Gitmo...”Gitmo” can just be listed on the fight manifest, can’t it? And just because it’s listed as the destination doesn’t mean the plane has to actually *land*, does it? I mean, there are air accidents all the time...the odd door gets left open, the happenstance mis-locking of the handcuffs can happen, right?
