"The passage was so narrow that whatever position I started with I would have to stay with through the entire length. There was just no room to move around or change positions. I would also have to turn my head one way or another, and keep it in the same position. This crawl was TIGHT!" I'm breaking into a sweat reading this .... my worst nightmare!

Did some caving back in the day with crawling through tight passages, which wasn't too bad. Also a "duck under" where we had to go briefly under water to get to the other side, but we were standing (stooping) while doing that. That wasn't too bad except the water was cold.
But it's infinitely worse to squeeze through long passages underwater with zero visibility and no ability to back up or turn around if you accidentally hit a dead end. What we did wasn't even close.

Yessir!
I would still love to go cave exploring, but I’m too old for it.
Just for grins I laid down on the floor and tried to propel my body with JUST my big toes.
It is impossible. And that was just against the carpet. Image a rough stone floor, sides and a stone roof, equally touching, and the burrs and ridges digging into your clothing...
Plus I’d have to lose 80 pounds and get my joints heavily oiled...

Me as well. I’ve had a number of very realistic dreams getting close to stuck underground. Throw a rising tide of dirty water into the mix and I damn near have a full on panic attack.
