I gave a speech recently which adopted a tone of sarcasm against a number of topics I covered, one being abortion.
After sarcastically asking “where’s the outrage” over the 55 some odd million babies killed since they started keeping stats, I asked, “Did you hear the latest joke?
How many people does it take to put on a condom?”
Everyone sat stone-faced. I ad-libbed: “I don’t see anyone laughing.”
I was ROFLMAO internally as I tried to focus and almost lost my train of thought.
Ironically, even in liberal company my approach struck a nerve and generated a cogent discussion on suppression of free speech and the insignificance of the media (my intent, on top of the hypocrisy of calls for violence against those with differing political opinions).
