Some 20 or 30 years ago, IIRC, there was a robust work program which allowed West Bank Palis easy access to jobs in Israel. The Palis took advantage of this to carry out multiple terror attacks. Gaza has been far worse, with no pretense at all, from any Gazan group, of a peaceful detente.

What’s stupid about it? If Gaza residents were getting a good paycheck from Israel, they’ll be less likely to want to blow them up.

1st Israel re-occupies Gaza. 2md Israel tells the Gaza residents that when they turn in every member of Hamas, Israel will help the Gaza residents form their own democratic government provided the platform of that government is to immediately sign a peace treaty with Israel, and insure that there are no attacks on Israel from Gaza. 3rd The rounded up Hamas members are “exported” to Qatar.

I beg to differ. I’m around Palestinians who work in my small yishuv, and some of them are quite satisfactory workers and have a long record of good work for other “settlers” such as myself. I employ one as a house cleaner. No complaints. But I’ll be damned if I can see Palis fresh out of Ghaza being given 5,000 work permits, unless the applicants are thoroughly screened. Let the pampered oil sheikhs of Qatar do the honors. If they work there for a year or two, and they’re ok, have them get back to me.

Now just a cotton pickin’ minit here. Let’s be fair. They’re improving Ghaza with public works, such as tunnels. There’s also a fire surplus in Ghaza, so the rioters are doing their part by throwing fire bombs, incendiary balloons and burning kites at the Zionist occupiers. Now, it would be kind of the Zionist occupiers if they would get some giant fans and blow the kites and balloons back into Ghaza, but they are so cruel and vicious that they actually steal the fire from poor Palestinians for use on their own pasture lands, wheat and barley fields, and houses. What a waste. How selfish.
