Raise the damn prices to the ionosphere!

Then fewer people will be killed by them.

.
When you consider the life threatening consequences of taking them, no drug can be considered “affordable.”

You mean that pill that was designed as a, vasodilator, but one side effect was an erection. So, they marketed it as an impotence drug instead of it’s original intention. That drug.

Isn’t it amazing that parents and people have to pay ridiculous prices for a life saving drug like an EpiPen for a condition they had nothing to do with getting, but a nasty junkie, heroin addict can get all the free Narcan, courtesy of the taxpayer and no one bats an eye?

Interesting point. I never paid much attention to the commercials until a guy at work said something about that very same thing.

“Pay attention to the next drug commercial you see on tv. They sell you on the one thing it helps and then spend the next 30 seconds telling you about all the bad things that can/will happen to you, if you take the medication”. Then you listen to the commercials and you’re asking....Holy Sh*t, why in the world would I take that?

Got my numbers confused ... not a $30k hand surgery, that number came later in the video for another procedure.

Well, drug addicts are so controllable like calling dogs with a treat in your hand.

Drug addicts can run other elicit contraband such as narcotics, uranium, arms, nuke tech devices, kid trafficking for entrapment ops, and they can be told to go find some MS-13 goons for murder for hire.

Yeah, drug addicts are so useful, productive, compliant.

Regular people think they have rights or some such. Not good.

“I am surprised it was not sold at $50 a pill.”

From what I understand, until last year, that WAS about the price per pill, without insurance.

It was in Minority Report that I first saw that, when one of the holograms was trying to sell him some drug, and last among the many side effects was “and in rare cases, death”.

I laughed hard then, and again a couple years ago, when noticing many of the commercials now say exactly that.

This information about the Epi-pen / Clinton Foundation / Joe Manchin daughter connection came out during the last election. Somehow it got no traction in the so-called news media. Now a witness planning to testify to the grand jury dies in her house when it blows up. Arkanside ?

I once worked for a company that repaired medical ultrasound equipment.

We had a couple of VA hospitals as customers.

Their costs were 300% of what we charged other customers.

Why? Paperwork. The government is a red tape nightmare to deal with. Everything takes forever to get done, and the paperwork is staggering.

Same reason the space shuttle flew with obsolete avionics on its maiden flight. Took so long for new equipment to get approved and adopted by NASA that they were always well behind the times for components they didn’t produce themselves.

Of course, it didn’t get played up by the wonderful, faithful, patriotic news media. What were you thinking?

Of course, Carole lit a match to her gas line because she was tired of living and also having to put up with her husband of 50 years.

Only a conspiracy kook would think she didn’t want to draw attention to Senator Manchin’s daughter Heather thereby drawing attention to him who is running and must win the Senate seat for the dems so that control of the Senate falls to the dems who will shut down everything Trump-related.

C’mon, you know these are all just nonsensical conspiracy mutterings.

I knew this was coming after Pfizer raised prices last week. How big of them after a huge tax cut.

My 85 year old Mom was Prescribed Afinitor made by Novartis. The first two months of the prescription were $3,600 out of pocket. Supposedly Medicare picked up a bit of it. She died three weeks ago before even finishing the first months perscribtion. Best I can tell we cannot return the second months unopened prescription.

I am an 85 year old woman-—what necessitated the Afinitor prescription?

A guy I know, plumbing contractor, won a contract to do work at National Guard Armory’s around the state. He did one and advised them he couldn’t do it anymore. He said the same thing you did, about the paperwork and waiting on approvals for, this and that. Wasn’t worth his time and effort. And, he wasn’t cheap either. So, if he was willing to walk away from guaranteed work, at a decent price, you know it had to be crappy.

What kills me about what you said is, with all the documentation and approvals and copies, in triplicate, and bids and RFPs, etc etc, and the taxpayer still gets bent over the barrel every single time.
