Ex-aide says he’ll take credit for Pruitt’s downfall

Kevin Chmielewski, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) whistleblower who played a central role in Scott Pruitt's downfall at the agency, said he feels vindicated by the administrator's departure.

"I hate to take a credit for a man losing his job, but I guess I'd have to say that I take the credit," Chmielewski told The Hill on Friday, the day Pruitt left the EPA.

Chmielewski, who served as deputy chief of staff for operations at the agency during most of Pruitt's tenure, leaked documents and provided information that prompted investigations into several high-profile scandals, from the retroactive altering of the administrator's public calendar to a request that staff help him find a condo in Washington.

Chmielewski left the agency in February, saying he was forced out after questioning spending and management practices.

He wasn't alone. But he runs to the media bragging about how he illegally leaked to the media and got his former boss fired.

There were many other EPA employees, Democrat Party operatives, politicians and media types who also worked to get Pruitt fired.

Chmielewski currently works part-time at Sunset Grille and Teasers Bar in Ocean City, Md.

Scott Pruitt has only Scott Pruitt to blame. He threw away his opportunity to be a key player in enacting the Deplorable Agenda with his Swampthingy ways. The leaker didn’t have to make stuff up.

“several high-profile scandals, from the retroactive altering of the administrator’s public calendar to a request that staff help him find a condo in Washington.”

He got fired for that? Ridiculous.

What an idiot. He outs himself and works part-time in a bar. He is just asking for an incident. I wonder what his employer thinks about this?

“By opening his mouth, he’s made it impossible for any future bosses to trust him with anything.”

And he ALSO outed the Deep State to people on our side that STILL cannot get their arms around the fact that people on the Left NEVER leave their politics at the building entrance and instead look at their job as a means to accomplish their political objectives.

Once people on our side begin to understand that, they might just figure out how to fight them.

Correct. Just watch now as his replacement Wheeler conducts the business of dismantling the EPA and driving the MAGA agenda without any of the distractions and controversies Pruitt created.

Pruitt did good work but he screwed himself. People need to accept that fact and stop blaming democrats whenever republicans shoot themselves in the foot.

Remember Craig Livingstone, and the Clinton’s FBI Files scandal?

What an idiot. He outs himself and works part-time in a bar.

And a hypocrite. All the beer, soda, tonic, sparkling drinks, etc... are full of CO2. CO2, according to the EPA, is a greenhouse gas, a poison and a pollutant.

This “whistleblower” isn’t fit to be a dog catcher. My goodness......Pruitt asking his staff to help him find a condo almost rivals the Clinton email scandals..... There are rats and scumbags all over The Swamp.

Agreed. Knowing the all-in desperation of the Resist crowd, Pruitt should have been smart enough to keep his nose clean.

“Scott Pruitt has only Scott Pruitt to blame. He threw away his opportunity to be a key player in enacting the Deplorable Agenda with his Swampthingy ways. The leaker didn’t have to make stuff up.”

unfortunately, you are 100% correct about this ... Pruitt was a complete fool for abusing the finances of his position ... you have to be squeaky clean if you are a conservative or the leftist fake stream media will roast you alive ... Pruitt was anything but squeaky clean ... and to me, the worst part of his bad behavior was the betrayal of his boss, Donald J. Trump, the President of the United States, the man who trusted him to do the right thing ...

Malarky.

The left made up about 91% of the so-called improprieties and most of what was left was minor or insignificant. Pruitt’s big mistake was trusting anyone.
