“He got fired for that? Ridiculous.”

Pruitt wasn’t fired, he resigned, and Pruitt did WAY more than that: it appears Pruitt was dipping into the public till for all kinds of stupid, personal petty stuff ... and it wasn’t just a couple of times, it was endemic to his whole tenure ...

It was either that or asking “Would you like fries with that?” every five minutes.

“After working at the EPA he’s only qualified to work as a bartender?”

He had a very high level job at EPA. He was deputy chief of staff for operations. Probably a $200,000 per year job with very generous benefits.

The article did not say he was a bartender, only that he worked part time at the bar and restaurant. He could be bus boy, waiter, dishwasher or any other part time job.

You do not end a declarative sentence with a question mark.

Chmielewski. Strzok.

The takeaway us clear here, never trust a subordinate with more than two consonants in a row in their name.

No it isn't. Out here where the election was won (western PA, OH, MI) "drain the swamp" is a very big deal. Typical DC behavior can't be justified.

To us little folk, getting a cheap rent from someone he makes decisions about and keeping secret schedules ARE big deals. It's only in the swamp where that's "minor".

It seems a lot of President Trump's team messed up once. The ones who are leaving for unacceptable behavior, it's more than once.

Pruitt’s big mistake was trusting anyone.

He expected to find some camaraderie among employees. Serious mistake. He ought to have built personal relations among WH staff and treated his employees at the agency as enemies of the state. Had he done so he would still be there. Or not. It is reasonable to assume he could not tolerate the constant bombardment of hate pouring out of the agency. Some doses of Trump's rhino skin oil are an important part of the kit for running some of these agencies.

“Scott Pruitt has only Scott Pruitt to blame. He threw away his opportunity to be a key player in enacting the Deplorable Agenda with his Swampthingy ways. The leaker didn’t have to make stuff up.”

Yep. Too bad, because I liked his policies.

Ya know, if he did this during a Hilliary administration, he’d never be able to go near Ft. Marcy Park again. (Or anywhere else alone, for that matter)

Which is a good thing! Now they know who is a leaker and should push him into some area where he can’t hurt the rest of the dept.

The Boss should never expect or hope to have employees as friends or allies.
They are EMPLOYEES, nothing more or less, treat them with respect and treat them evenly and fairly.

When they f#ck up (which they eventually will) determine if it was an honest mistake, sloppy craftsmanship, or deliberate sabotage.
If it was a mistake, take them through the job again so they can identify the mistake and avoid it in the future.
If it was laziness or sloppy craftsmanship; advise them verbally AND in writing that this type of behavior will not be tolerated, and any future incidents of a similar nature will result in termination.
If it was deliberate sabotage; slap them with every rule in the book and move to terminate them IMMEDIATELY.
