Gastonia was it’s own insane place back in the 90’s when we lived in Tega Cay, in neighboring county. Mostly crazy white trash. Now it’s all inclusive.

Gastonia is a place that never quite recovered after Hurricane Hugo.
There might still be a good barbecue place on 321 on the south side.
