Because Donald Trump is Adolf Hitler.
Hmmmm...In that picture I see similarities to hildebeast...Just saying...
I figure red-state rats are dead either way - anger their base by voting with Trump - energize the Republicans by voting against him - tough call either way - for them......
It’s Dick Turban of Iowa who wants red state Democrats to fall on their sword and vote against the SCOTUS nominee. Politically safe Dick Turban, that is.
Twenty years ago I did reserve annual training at Camp Dodge, Iowa. I asked my Iowan counterparts then how Turban was impossible to run against. They said they didn’t know either except that the politics of Des Moines ruled the rest of a very rural state.
I have since learned that many of our states are mostly rural but dominated by one large liberal city which is not the state capital.
Turban is a screaming hypocrite who expects others to die for him.
Ill.
As Comicus from History of the World part 1 might observe, he acts the quintessential Senator, and not in anything even remotely like a good way.
I was a deployed reservist in Central Asia when Tick Turban called us all Nazis. I was 55 f***ing years old.
That stung like Hanoi Jane Fonda back in 1972 calling us serving in Vietnam both babykillers & war criminals.
I hate these worthless liberal b@stards! Want them to FOAD!!!

Because Donald Trump is Adolf Hitler.
“Because Donald Trump is literally Adolf Hitler”
Ah, yes! We must fit ‘literally’ in there for special emphasis!
Just make sure you dress like you are front row at a Gallagher performance.
All the conservative SC justices will need round the clock SS protection from the left wing lunatics.
Suggest you not be overconfident, mate. Manchin is holding onto a nice lead in WV. That odious cow in Michigan, Debbie Stabenow, will hold onto her seat because the Repubbies nominated a nobody to challenge her. In Arizona, the Dems nominated Kristen Synema, who is the perfect candidate for them - a young gal pretty as a sorority girl who claims to be a lesbian (needs street cred since shes white) but talks like a social conservative; she has a lead, too.
Thats three of the seven seats that the GOP friendly media says are ripe for the picking.
We might pick up just two seats rather than 5, 7, even the 10 sometimes claimed.
Trump I think knows he picked the best possible person who could be confirmed at this time.
Hopefully after the midterms, he’ll have more flexibility when the other spots come open.
At worst, I think Kavanaugh is a push with Kennedy.
They’re worried that republicans will pick up some Senate seats in November, and that if they delay, Trump will be able to install a serious conservative.
Too bad that Janice Rogers Brown is now too old (69) to nominate. She was on Bush 43s short list when she was in her mid-50s. Can you imagine the Dems opposing a black woman for the court?
The perfect outcome would be if all the red state dems voted against Kavanaugh and all the republicans voted for him. That’s a win win for us. We pick up more Senate seats and Kavanaugh still gets seated!
Plus, it makes Schmucky Schumer pay for his idiocy - telling the red state dems that it’s more important to vote against Kavanaugh even though it risks their senate seats.
Then again Democrats looking like petty mean spirited losers works for us...
Really too early to tell much about what will happen in the fall - not many looking toward the elections yet among the general public - at this point all incumbents should be ahead in the polls - but the fight to confirm Kavanaugh should be hitting just about late August, early September, just about when people start to shift into autumn mode - if nothing focuses the attention like the prospect of being hanged in the morning, I would guess a close contender would be the prospect of appointing a Supreme Court justice whom the liberals hate and fear - then the red state ‘rats should start to feel the heat - I think McCaskill, Testor, the guys in Florida and Indiana and one or two others will be in trouble - Arizona is an open seat and would be a flip to the ‘rats, so the Republicans would have to take an extra seat to make up for it, but even if the net only two new Senators, that would be enough to pretty much make Collins and Murkowsky irrelevant - that’s a gain beyond the mere numbers IMO....
Roger that.
We need another justice on the SCOTUS within the next two years. That means that Trump can run in 2020 on immigration again, and the GOP can do a few things.
First, pass a law ending birthright citizenship. Immediately. The Dems will sue, of course, but with a 6-3 majority that will ensure the liberals don’t overturn the new law.
Next, issue a ruling from the Department of Commerce that illegals will not count in the census. There will be more howls from the Dems than a company of female wolves in heat. There will be dozens of lawsuits filed. But a comfortable majority on the SCOTUS will protect that.
Third, pass a comprehensive immigration eligibility law that eliminates providing welfare for legal and illegal immigrants. Also that turns away illegals who come to a hospital wanting medical care.
Finally, pass a voter eligibility law that requires federal confirmation of citizenship before someone can register. The Dems passed Motor Voter under Clinton, we can pass Legal Voter under Trump. By now the remaining Dem heads will explode. But there won’t be much of mess because their heads are already empty.
