The Malinois is more intelligent than the GSD. Very good at instinctively assessing a threat versus non threat. The Israelis use them.
Those free ranging feral hogs are very lean. The ones eating peanuts? Yes worthless.
That is not accurate. The Malinois is more aggressive and focused when training, thus it has become a military favorite. The GSD is the 3rd most intelligent dog there is, behind the Border Collie and Standard Poodle.

There is a reason that Muslims detest dogs. And there is a reason why the victims of Muslim conquest love them. This has been true for a thousand years.
Dogs can smell a Muslim jihadhi from 2 miles away. And that smell really pisses them off.Dogs are true creatures of Jehovah, not of Allah.
I once asked a south ga redneck the same question.
His answer was the meat is much better if the hog is fed corn for a month or so before slaughtering...same as a domestic hog.
And. farmers like to breed wild sows with domestic boars. Something about the genetics make them preferable to pure domestic hogs on the local meat market.
Boar meat is edible, it just smells bad when cooking, like a wet dog. I’ve shot feral hogs, and just cook them on the grill, since one piece of boar meat will ruin the kitchen.
There are a lot of them here that are left for the buzzards.
Some do huge damage to vehicles. 400 lb. hog is a big mass.
