That’s my concern. I’ll hold my fire, but as I said on FR immediately after Kennedy announced his retirement, this all sort of had a stench of quid pro quo of Kennedy negotiating his retirement timing with an informal agreement that a pick satisfactory to Kennedy would be made. When it was announced that Kavanaugh was up for consideration and that he clerked for Kennedy, I feared the worst.
It has come to pass.
Gorsuch also clerked for Kennedy so I am trying to be optimistic HOWEVER this would not have been my choice he has been in DC to long and IS a swamp creature!!!!
Both Gorsuch and Kavanaugh were law clerks for Justice Kennedy.
