1) Kavanaugh conceded in Priests for Life that the government had a compelling interest in facilitating women’s access to contraception, citing Justice Anthony Kennedy’s ruling in Burwell v. Hobby Lobby (2014). His defenders say that he did it in order to “ win Kennedy’s vote to overturn the decision of the D.C. Circuit Court.”
This tells me that he sometimes does not decide on principle but PRACTICALITY — The end justifying the means.
2) Kavanaugh shows his Roberts-like character by reinterpreting the Obamacare mandate as a tax, after it was passed by Congress as a regulation, not a tax.
This is disturbing ... it shows a tendency towards legislating from the bench.
I only agree with him 80% of the time!
Wish we had a Hillary pick with whom I disagree 100% of the time......
