I recently received a press release from a group proposing a 57-point plan for removing barriers that block blacks from empowerment and for ensuring they have their chance of attaining the American dream.
Listen to me. Blacks do not need a 57-point plan to attain the American dream. They need to start behaving responsibly. They need to get an education. They need to stop having babies before they can afford a pizza.
They need to understand that using skin-color affirmative action programs to get into a college/university they are not academically qualified to attend is a formula for failure. Statistics show that the majority of skin-color affirmative action students flunk out or drop out. Thanks in large part to favorable grading practices, many who do graduate are shortchanged by being in a learning environment for which they werent prepared to be competitive participants. There is also the importance of graduating with a degree in a marketable degree program.
This plan is nothing more than a conservative group using Democratic tactics to manipulate black voters. There may be many blacks that underachieve, but no 57-point plan is going to rectify that.

I figured that it had something to do with Heinz’ 57 varieties. Their steak sauce is actually pretty good.
Barack Insane Obama and his “57 states”?
Why should they? I've paid for plenty of their pizzas, and I'm bound to pay for plenty more. That is, until I go Galt, which I'll do unless something drastic changes in this country very soon.
As long as we dwell on color, we’ll never get past color.
They want a 57 point plan? We all know they won’t go for 69.
Quit blaming everyone for your problems. Finish school. Drop Ebonics. Get a job. Marry and then have kids.
All of us, regardless of color or ethnicities, need to avoid certain negative behaviors.
Don’t have children out of wedlock, stay out of trouble with the law, and get an education. These straight forward guidelines will solve a lot of problems people have in life.
There are other guidelines as well, but let’s start with those. Black folks who follow through on these have much better lives than those who don’t.
Simple,
1. Get.a good.educationj
2. Speak proper English
3. Respect everyone
4. Dont get ARRESTED

And how many of these 57 barriers are self-inflicted?
I thought so.
Unfortunately for far too many of them the “plan” is either “become a rap star” or “sign an NBA contract”.
I know a black lady, a small business owner, who is having a terrible time with her son because his friends have convinced him he can become a rap star.
Highly unrealistic. And too many of them who do make it end up dead by 30.
I’m not so sure. The Trump 1 point plan seems to be working for many blacks, as well as Hispanics. And it’s not hurting others in the process.
SOME Blacks don’t abide by common decency and moral principles. When they don’t achieve, they blame it on Whites, or even others.
Folks, not all Whites abide by common decency and moral principles. Those that don’t generally wind up with a life less successful than those that do.
Not all Blacks reject good principles, and they generally do a heck of a lot better in life, than those who don’t.
You can drive through Black neighborhoods and see plenty of decent homes, a fairly nice community. Those areas are not heralded by the media, because they don’t feed the racist narrative.
If you use racism as an excuse, or the need for conformity to a moral code and business principles, or the need to apply yourself, as reasons to opt out of societal norms, don’t be surprised if you turn into a failure.
When this happens, you will always be able to blame someone else, but will seldom realize it is you that failed yourself big-time.
When I see minorities complain about this being a White man’s game, and rejecting everything decent in society as a result, I just laugh. Who will pay most dearly for that? You will. Your family will. Society will.
Dedicate your life to learning, working hard, and doing the right things. You and everyone else will benefit.
Some Blacks do quite well. Don’t call them an Uncle Tom or a sellout. They aren’t doing anything that any other decent person would object to. They are simply choosing to live a good life.
Pick one of them and emulate what they are doing.
The great Larry Elder had I think a three part plan to avoid poverty.
1. Finish school.
2. Dont have a baby until you get married.
3. Dont get married until you have a good job.
That’s my point. Good behaviors are good for everyone. Once ethnicity/color is brought into the discussion, it never moves past it. IMHO.
bkmk
One of these days scientists are going to find out what causes pregnancy so we can prevent it before you’re old enough to afford a pizza.
AND STOP GIVING OUT WELFARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember 30 years ago in the Buffalo News (a local paper) they interviewed a 17 year old and asked her why she had a baby- she said “because I wanted an apartment”
She knew if she had a baby The State would immediately set her up with a place to live and give her food and money.
