Here’s The Inspector General Report On Imran Awan
The Daily Caller ^ | 07/09/2018 | Ethan Barton and Luke Rosiak

Posted on 07/10/2018 3:44:30 PM PDT by detective

The Department of Justice found “no evidence” that former Democratic IT aide Imran Awan violated cybersecurity laws, prosecutors said Thursday, but the House of Representatives’ internal watchdog reported that the Pakistani native made “unauthorized access” to congressional servers.

Prosecutors said police interviewed approximately 40 witnesses, reviewed relevant communications and examined a number of related devices, but couldn’t find anything they could charge Imran with regarding cybersecurity. Details of the investigation were included in a plea deal with Imran surrounding unrelated bank fraud.

But a pair of presentations by House Inspector General Theresa Grafenstine detail a number of rules Imran and his family allegedly broke surrounding cybersecurity rules. The watchdog is a past chair of ISACA, an international IT association.

From 2010, when Pelosi was still Speaker...

PRESS RELEASES 07.30.10

Pelosi Statement on Appointment of Theresa Grafenstine as House Inspector General

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced today that Ms. Theresa Grafenstine will be the next Inspector General of the U.S. House of Representatives. The appointment was laid down on the House floor this afternoon and was made jointly by the Speaker and the Majority and Minority Leaders. Ms. Grafenstine, currently the acting IG, replaces IG Jim Cornell, who retired earlier this year.

“Theresa Grafenstine brings a record of integrity and excellence to the Office of the Inspector General. Her appointment comes after the unanimous bipartisan recommendation of a panel of Members of the Committee on House Administration.

“Ms. Grafenstine will be an independent voice in continuing our efforts to ensure accountability and transparency in financial matters and the management of House operations. She will also make history as the first woman to lead the Office of Inspector General. Her decades of experience in government, including 12 years in the House’s Office of Inspector General, will ensure that the people’s business is conducted with efficiency and that public funds are used responsibly. She will play an essential role in the House and all of us are grateful for her energy and experience.’

Total whitewash. Where is Sessions? This is not a Russia case; there should be a SP appointed to investigate.

(HAT TIP LUKE ROSIAK, DAILY CALLER'S ACE REPORTER)

EXCERPT----The tech vendor said it was clear that Imran was soliciting a cash bribe. “Imran said to the vendor,
‘There is this new Democrat House member from Florida named Graham. Let’s make a deal and I’ll get you into her office (as a supplier).”

“Imran showed me a letter and I said, ‘Look Imran, I can’t do that, it’s not legal.'” The letter, the vendor said Imran showed him, was a House member's commitment to award a tech contract. “And at 8 am the very next morning, he had another signed letter from a House member rescinding it and said ‘Let’s go with Lockheed instead,'” the vendor told TheDCNF.

“Imran has that much power,” the vendor continued. “How the hell did he have that much control over a Democrat House member that by 8 am the Democrat House member has done his exact bidding? If you were a new House member who just got elected you'd think they’d be like, ‘Well, why are we switching, you told me yesterday the other was better?'”

“I can’t articulate how loyal House Democrat members were to him,” the source alleged. “I’d say something like I’d do [tech services] for a quarter of the cost [what members were paying Imran] and Democrat House members would say no.” (Saving money for the taxpayers was not in the Democrat House members lexicon.)

========================================

The vendor provided a variety of other detailed information about Imran that TheDCNF independently corroborated.

<><> He told TheDCNF in February 2017 that Imran described in detail how the Democrat House member's aide falsified official US govt invoices — months before others publicly reported the scheme.

<><>The vendor said Imran told him he routinely misstated the value of Democrat House members' tech purchases so they were treated as petty cash and not tracked.

<><>House officials later confirmed Imran's MO.

ORGANIZED CRIME ON CAPITOL HILL.... DEMOCRATS take the "Oath of Omerta."

NY Democrat---Cong Yvette Clarke and friend exit Air Force One.

Democrat Cong Yvette Clarke describes herself as "Queen of the Caribbean."
She belongs to the Congressional Caribbean Caucus.
Clarke made friends quickly, what with her knowledge of offshore banking havens in the Caribbean.

HOW THE IT SCAM WAS RIGGED FOR PROFIT----Democrat NY Cong Yvette Clarke's office approved a $120,000 "write-off" of tax-paid tech Equipment Linked To the Awan clan (made the tax dollars and the equipment disappear). The missing govt-issue tax-paid devices included many iPhones and iPads. At $800 each, Cong Yvette Clarke's $120,000 write-off would force taxpayers to pay for 150 electronic items for her staff of 16......that's about 10 iPhones and iPads each.

Democrat Cong Yvette Clarke's tax-paid payroll records indicate she has 16 employees......why did Cong Clarke need so many electronics for that small staff? She was also oblivious to the fact that all that expensive govt-paid equipment she ordered was delivered to Imran's house.

According to ace reporting by the Daily Caller, Cong Clarke's office casually signed off on what appears to be a theft ring operating inside the Democrat Congressional Caucus then-headed by Cong Becerra. The facts suggest the Awan gang was running the oldest of scams......selling computer gear out the back door after first reporting it stolen to authorities. (hat tip The Daily Caller).

NOTE: Democrat Clarke is only one employer audited, so far. Patterns of theft in other Democrat offices have yet to be investigated.

===============================

EXCERPT....then-Democrat Cong Becerra never publicly acknowledged nor demanded consequences for the cyber breach on his House Democratic Caucus server (similar in nature to the DNC)......and eighteen months later, no one has been charged....not surprising since the elected Democrats don’t appear to be asking for it......

This is a huge red flag. This is organized crime on Capitol Hill.

Democrats have apparently taken the "Oath of Omerta."

Gee whiz.... back to defining “is” again....

The IG plays word games and carefully crafted descriptions of the topic to be investigated.

Phooey!

It quacks, it waddles, it has webbed feet..... Well, it must be a crooked liberal Democrat.

Even a hooded blind man can “see” that!

People are confusing IG’s

The DoJ charged Awan with bank fraud in DC and he pleaded guilty and can be charged for other things elsewhere. Remember the server given to DoJ was bogus and the Judge in DC was DWS brother.

The IG here is for House of Reps.

TBD ;)

During Sept 2016, The Awan clan continued to use Cong Xavier Becerra’s House Democratic Caucus computers in anomalous ways:
<><> logging on as “system administrators”
<><> changing identities
<><> logging onto Cong Becerra’s server using 17 different user account credentials
<><> some credentials belonged to Democrat House members
<><> the Awans did not work for 9 of the 17 offices to which user accounts belonged.
<><> investigations found “possible storage of sensitive House information” outside the House
<><> Dropbox is installed on two Democratic Caucus computers used by the suspects
<><> user accounts had thousands of files in their Dropbox folder on each computer
<><> Using Dropbox is against House rules because it uploads files offsite.
<><> Wash/Po reported “Based on the file names, some of the information is likely sensitive.”
<><> post-awan clean up discovered many computer set-ups were little more than “thin clients”
<><> computer set-ups were portals to an outside computer.
<><> Awans were using terminal servers from a computer in a different location.
<><>Virtual Private Networks can make a server’s hard drive appear to be local to a computer.
<><> remote sessions remained active for months at a time.
<><> data was always out of the members’ possession
<><> the Awans were using Becerra’s House Democratic Caucus as their central service warehouse.
<><> the Awans collectively logged onto Becerra’s Caucus system 5,735 times, avg 27 per day
<><> other offices were accessed less than 60 times.
<><> the pattern of login activity suggests steps were taken to conceal their activity
<><>aggregating multiple members’ data means all that data was absconded with
<><> L/E said Becerra’s entire Democratic Caucus server physically disappeared while being monitored by L/E.
<><> no scenario exists where the Awan clan’s access was appropriate
<><> House members are not allowed to accept services from people not on their payroll
<><> House employees are not permitted to log in to servers of members for whom they do not work.
<><> House policies are codified by law.

Hi.

I didn’t see the word “espionage” when they ( the IG) described espionage in their report.

Just like Cankles.

Another cover up from the corrupt DOJ.

****************

The DOJ is an organization under the authority of the executive branch. The DOJ is manifestly corrupt. Yet, nobody is being held accountable.

We have a very serious problem on our hands, Mr. president. Please do something.

The master manipulator has manipulated his clients and the investigators. What a shame he and his family will get away with so many crimes. What a shame his enablers (DWS, et al) will get away with so many crimes.

Does the Inspector General admit that a House Democrat IT server is missing, no where to be found, after the perp took it out of the government offices just as the capital police were closing in on him?

Does the Inspector General admit that evidence of violations of cyber security laws might exist on thet missing server, and its theft could be obstruciton of justice?

Hillary taking bribes and breaking felony espionage laws with her criminal gang and husband and its like it didn’t happen because we have feckless jeffy sessions who hides in the stalls of the women’s bathrooms. I’m sick of it.When is it our turn? WE WON!!

“”the IG is the HEAD SWAMPSTER!!!””

Every stinkin’ one of them. How many are there in DC? Get rid of them all. They monitor - write reports - let everyone off the hook - and collect a paycheck from us! I don’t see any use for them at all. What have they ever accomplished for the good of the country? When have they ever held anyone responsible for the corruption that even a blind man can see? I know we heard at one time from a FReeper who said he was once an IG...we need to hear from him WHY they are necessary...
